Advanced Workshops

Working with Trauma in Babies

This workshop presents a systematic approach to working with babies in order to help them resolve their early life trauma. We will explore a number the core skills required to do this work, including assessing levels of resourcing/traumatisation in babies, family dynamics and the clinical importance of crying.

Shock, Stress and Facilitated States

with Graham Kennedy

10th - 11th July
Reading £175 (£50 deposit)

This workshop will explore the way that unresolved shock, stress and even tissue damage can impact the nervous system giving rise to a state of facilitation, leading to a wide range of symptoms including chronic muscle tension, lowered immunity, visceral problems and reduced capacity for dealing with stress.

Refresher Days

Refresher days are for both newly qualified and longstanding practitioners. They are an opportunity to revisit material and deepen understanding of subjects learnt in your Craniosacral Therapy training from an advanced perspective, and to spend time with colleagues in related practical sessions. Clinical issues are discussed, and although there is always a title, the framework is flexible to meet the needs of the group. Refresher Days cost £80 per day (£30 deposit).

The Immune System - a series of 3 Refresher Days
A detailed look at the Immune System, the holistic perspective, and ways to integrate a deeper understanding of the body's defence system into our work as practitioners.

17th June - The Immune System and Craniosacral Therapy I
22nd July - The Immune System and Craniosacral Therapy II
9th September - The Immune System and Craniosacral Therapy III

The Refresher Days and Advanced Workshops can be used towards the Primary CPD requirement of the CSTA.

Cancellation Policy
All payments are non-refundable and the balance is due 14 days before the course date. Cancellations with more than 14 days notice will result in a loss of deposit. Cancellations with less than 14 days notice will be charged for in full. There is a minimum number of participants required for the course. If this number is not reached one week before the course is due to take place then it may be cancelled. In the event of cancellation by the Institute of Craniosacral Studies for whatever reason liability will be limited to a refund of any course fee paid.
