Tutors - Jenni Meyer

After training was as a nurse and then a midwife, Jenni worked in midwifery for 17 years, supporting women to give birth in the way they chose. With more than 10 years of experience attending home births, she has also worked with pregnant women and mothers who have mental health difficulties.

Jenni has a B.Sc. Hons. Degree in Human Biology. Her love of anatomy and physiology continues to inform her work and she has a deep trust in the body’s own natural healing capacity. She is trained as an Okido Yoga teacher, a form of Japanese Yoga incorporating elements of martial arts and corrective exercises. Other skills gained in the training were aspects of shiatsu, massage, nutrition and the use of natural healing techniques such as compresses, fasting and herb baths. She also studied natural nutrition, which has its roots in traditional European naturopathic practices, and has completed a one year Foundation Course in Core Process Psychotherapy. She is doing ongoing study with Karlton Terry in Pre and Perinatal Psychology and has completed two trainings in Birth Process work.

Jenni qualified as a Craniosacral Therapist in 1994 and has a full time practice in Bristol, working with people of all ages and with varying conditions. She works in an integrated way taking into account the impact the environment has on us and acknowledging the connections between mind, emotion, body and spirit.
